Tribewanted: Vorovoro

my name is Christina and i recently joined TW few days ago after reading about it in an article. i found the sunday magazine (name of publication the article was in) lying around the house while cleaning up and did one of those casual flip through’s just so that it gives me an excuse to rest my bottom for a few seconds. as i read through James Atkinson’s story i was curious to find out more about the TW website. as i’v mentioned already, i was disappointed with the length of the article which turned out to not be such a bad thing. due to my own curiosity it lead me straight here to joining TW.

i have never done this before (referring to blog), obviously enough this being my first time. i’m currently on my college break and hating every bit of it simply because i have no plans whatsoever, that is till i found TW. this truly is a unique way of connecting the world with Vorovoro and am very glad with what Ben has achieved. for the past few days ever since i stumbled across tribe wanted i have been trying my best in keeping up with the islands progression. reading blog after blog has somewhat given me something to do but has delayed other responsibilities (not that i’m complaining). SHOWS WHERE MY PRIORITIES ARE, HUH!....cant help it, it’s like as though TW has their own magnetic force. i can only imagine that it wont compare to the one that the friendly people on the island will have (well at least from what i’v read from individuals blog’s and comments)

i’m frustrated with the fact that i only found tribe wanted recently. few weeks ago i was to do this presentation on a topic of personal interest for a college assignment. i did mine on fiji only because i have people continuously asking me about “what’s Fiji like?”, “do Fijians speak English” (i dont know why this question is always at the top of their list)...yada yada yada…and the whole lot. simply talked about traditions, way of life, do’s and dont’s, etc, etc. however TW would have been the perfect alternative. i would have for surely turned my presentation this way instead since i seem to be so hooked to the islands “evolution”. it seems as though bebo and facebook are no longer at the top of my list.

if anyone could answer this question for me, i would very much appreciate it. would any of you reading this know if there are any Tribe Wanted upcoming events in Sydney anytime this year?
